For over 30 years I have been supporting and enjoying my involvement with many people with a disability, both overseas and in New Zealand.
Since the mid ’90 I have lived with my family in Auckland, mostly in the beautiful West.

I have been part of Mt Tabor for many, many years. I love this community and all the extraordinary people in it. In my role as coordinator I am dedicated to support the teams, the homes & the core members in living out the delicate balance of day to day needs, individual growth and community life.
Community Coordinator Helensville
I have been working in disability services in various position for around 30 years but only been involved with Mt Tabor since November 2019.
My position as Community Coordinator for the Helensville area gives me a vast involvement in different areas of the organisation from supporting staff and house leaders in the different houses to being part of the Leadership Team and Community council.
I immigrated from Germany in 2000 and have worked and lived in West Auckland ever since
I have been the Administrator at Mount Tabor for 2 years.
I am originally form Ireland and have been Lucky enough to live in New Zealand for the past 20 years.
I love the sincere joy in our Mount Tabor community and feel very lucky to be part of it.
Chair of the Board
Sarah is an engineer by profession, she first encountered L’Arche in 2005 where she became a friend of the Trosly community in France, Sarah joined the board in August 2018 and was called to the chair role in September 2019.
He worked as the infrastructure GM of a mental health and addictions NGO. Renny gained governance experience with Make-A-Wish foundation before joining the Mount Tabor board in 2020.

I am Penny McKenzie and I live just outside of Helensville with my husband Scott and my three sons (only one at home now) and two dogs.
My journey with Mount Tabor Trust started nearly 10 years ago when I was asked to join the Board of Trustees as the scribe. My journey moved from there to working in the office as the Administrator and then onto the Community Council.
